POLYFLAM Fireplaces

Some POLYFLAM Fireplace Specs & Manuals PDF.

Polyflam made in France.

Structurally, the fireplace consists of two fireboxes without glass. The upper furnace - open, the lower - closed, also called the recuperator. The smoke of the open fire goes out into the main chimney, the smoke from the recuperator - through the additional chimney connected to the main one.

Polyflam fireplaces can be used in four operating modes

Mode # 1. The fireplace works as a normal open (top burning). Only radiant heat enters the room. Efficiency up to 20%. The recuperator (bottom firebox) is not involved.

Mode # 2. The fireplace works as an open, but at the same time spread cast iron plates. The fire is drawn into the lower furnace due to the draft of the additional chimney.

In this case, the room receives radiant heat from the fire, and the recuperator and convection heating system begins to work. The efficiency of the fireplace increases.

Mode # 3. Firewood burns in both the lower and upper furnace. Also, the room receives radiant heat from the fire, and the lower furnace works as a powerful and efficient convector and heats the air.

The lower firebox can be set to long burning mode. The efficiency of the upper furnace is up to 20%, the lower - up to 70-80%.

Mode # 4. This is a purely heated and most efficient mode of operation of the fireplace. Burning time from 8 to 14 hours, laying firewood from 8 to 27 kg, and power from 6-7 to 30 kW, depending on the model of the furnace.

The fireplace works as a convector, the gate is closed and only an additional chimney is used. Due to this, the heat from the room does not come out through the pipe and the house is not cooled. Efficiency up to 70-80%
